Rev. Dr. Robert W. Ralph Jr. Senior Pastor, Kimble Church recently Retired.
Pastor Ralph served as a Lt. Commander in the United States Naval Reserve and the Chaplain of a Marine unit. Pastor Ralph delivered to us a special insight to the meaning and origin of Memorial Day. We also learned of Robert E. Lee’s generosity in connection with Arlington Cemetery.

HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
The Woodbury Lunch and Breakfast Clubs have united for the purpose of raising funds to provide one ShelterBox for Haitian Earthquake Relief . A ShelterBox cost $1,000.00 delivered to the recipient. This is an unfunded challenge that we’ve accepted. Pres Jim and the members present at Tuesday's lunch meeting agreed to solicit the membership to raise our $500.00 share. The membership recommended that a $25 per member will reach our $500.00 goal

| President Jim's Weekly Message |
Dear Woodbury Rotarians: Thank you to all who attended the GSE farewell social. Besides our own club, we had members from the Voorhees Breakfast Club, Woodbury Breakfast Club, Camden & Bridgeton Clubs attend the event. The 5 member GSE team was a warm and well receptive group, who were very appreciative of all the efforts from all the members in the district, who visited with them I during their stay. The weather cooperated, which helped us to hold the event outside on the patio at the Barnesboro Inn. The food was plentiful and the cocktails were flowing. The evening ended with a slide show presentation by the GSE Team showing pictures of not only their the home towns in Norway, but of their adventures they experienced here.

In paying tribute to Paul Harris just after his death in 1947, The Rotarian wrote: "Paul Harris never claimed to have founded a new philosophy; he referred to the spirit of Rotary as an ancient principle of ethics. What he did was to teach men of all nations and of races to join together in practicing and applying it."

| Business Note of the Day |
Stephen M. Sweeney (born June 11, 1959) is an American Democratic Party politician, who has served in the New Jersey State Senate since 2002, where he represents the 3rd Legislative District. Sweeney also serves on the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, a post he has held since 1997, and has been the Freeholder Director since January 6, 2006. On November 23, 2009, Sweeney was selected as Senate President-designate, replacing Richard Codey. Sweeney took office on January 12, 2010. Sweeney attended Pennsauken High School.
In 2001, Senator Sweeney defeated eight-term incumbent State Senator Raymond Zane, a former Democrat turned Republican. The race was the most expensive legislative race in New Jersey history at the time, totaling $2.4 million dollars, with Sweeney's $1.8 million tripling up Zane's $600,000. The record stood until 2003, when $4 million was spent in Fred H. Madden's successful race to unseat George Geist. Source

Three Interesting Thoughts
"The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."
"When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better."
