Today's Program

"How Thieves Break Into Cars"

Woodbury Rotary’s program this past Tues was one of great interest.  Member Jack Magee of Magee Locksmith and Security Co. on N. Broad St., Woodbury presented a program demonstrating how easy it is to be a victim of car theft today.  Jack brought various car doors and ignition parts and demonstrated how today’s thief, with help from the Internet, can get all the tools needed to break into any car, start it and drive away in about 10 to 15 seconds!  The level of sophistication available in regard to technology today has facilitated the common car thief tremendously.  CAR owners: BEWARE, and make sure your car insurance includes theft!

Rotary Factoid

The World Service Community (WSC) , which was adopted by the Board of Directors of Rotary International in 1962, was established to provide a vehicle through which single clubs - even individual Rotarians within a club- could become actively involved in serving mankind in a distant community. WCS helped clubs in developing countries launch service projects in their local communities and paired them with other clubs in the developed world that had the desire and the resources to help.

Business Note of the Day
"Business ethics is the behavior that a business adheres to in its daily dealings with the world. The ethics of a particular business can be diverse. They apply not only to how the business interacts with the world at large, but also to their one-on-one dealings with a single customer.
Many businesses have gained a bad reputation just by being in business. To some people, businesses are interested in making money, and that is the bottom line. It could be called capitalism in its purest form. Making money is not wrong in itself. It is the manner in which some businesses conduct themselves that brings up the question of ethical behavior."

 Phase II
