Presidents Message

Listen for upcoming announcements from Ed Burger & Greg Jones for the upcoming Christmas for Kids project. Let's all get involved to make this project a great success. The President's Marathon Challenge supports three of our clubs projects. Christmas for Kids, Polio-Plus Program & Rotary Park. Our club has been very successful in not only adding new members this year, but members who have jumped right in and have gotten involved. Keep your eye out for individuals in our community who fit this same mold. As our discussion in today's program focuses on The Rotary Foundation, please contact Club Foundation Chair Fred Davis for more details on how you can contribute. Today, get out and exercise your right to Vote.

For the Good of Rotary, Pres. Jim

Business Note of the Day
In 1964 General Mills began marketing Lucky Charms cereal with pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, and green clovers. The marshmallow bits (technically referred to as marbits) were invented in 1963 by John Holahan. The cereal is marketed using a leprechaun character named Lucky (L.C. Leprechaun is his full name) that touts his cereal as being "Magically Delicious." Over the years the various shapes and colors of the marshmallow bits in the cereal have undergone many changes.

 Phase II

 of Rotary Park upgrade

is underway

This phase will entail raising funds to install a monument as a recognition for our nation's sons and daughters who served our Country:  Past, Present, Peacetime, Wartime, Killed, or Survived.

"Some gave all, all gave some."
